会议简介：本次会议由Journal of Transcultural Communication (《国际跨文化传播学刊》)主办，欢迎对跨文化传播(transcultural communication /cross-cultural communication /intercultural communication)和国际传播的发展范式和方法感兴趣的学者，就真实的传播与文化之间的关系进行为期一天的对话。

为了响应第73届ICA年会主题“重拾传播真实性”，本次会议计划邀请对跨文化传播(transcultural communication /cross-cultural communication /intercultural communication)和国际传播的发展范式和方法感兴趣的学者参加为期一天的对话，讨论真实的传播与文化之间的关系，特别是真实性与跨文化传播(transcultural communication)。

我们鼓励后会的与会者挑战跨文化传播(intercultural and transcultural communication)研究中使用的现有理论、概念和方法，并就多元文化主义面临日益严峻挑战的背景下传播的作用以及跨文化传播的理论思考进行多学科讨论。

1. 真实性在不同文化背景下的相似或不同解释；

2. (政治)文化的差异如何在网络真实中发挥越来越重要的中介性作用；

3. 重拾多元文化主义如何有助于解决真实性危机；

4. 跨文化传播如何为重新定义真实性提供解决方案。

被本次后会录用的论文将有机会入选Journal of Transcultural Communication (《国际跨文化传播学刊》)专题特刊，专题暂定标题为“真实性与跨文化传播”。

Description: This post-conference , sponsored by the Journal of Transcultural Communication, will convene scholars interested in the evolving paradigms and approaches of cross-cultural, intercultural, and international communication to join a day-long conversation on the relationship between authentic communication and culture.

DEI-approach: We strongly encourage researchers from a transcultural, intercultural and diverse field for submissions. There will be no registration fee.

In response to the 73rd ICA theme "Reclaiming Authenticity", this post-conference invite scholars interested in the evolving paradigms and approaches of transcultural, intercultural, cross-cultural, and international communication to join a day-long conversation on the relationship between authentic communication and culture, particularly authenticity and transcultural communication.

Participants of the post-conference are encouraged to challenge existing theories, concepts, and methodologies used in intercultural and transcultural communication research and to have a multidisciplinary discussion on the role of communication in the context of rising challenges to multiculturalism and on the theoretical reflections on transcultural communication.

The post-conference invites contributions exploring research questions such as:

1. How authenticity is construed similarly or differently across cultural contexts.

2. How variations in (political) culture play an increasingly crucial role in the mediation of reality online.

3. How reclaiming multiculturalism may contribute to solving the authenticity crisis.

4. How transcultural communication can offer a solution for redefining authenticity.

All accepted submissions will get the opportunity to submit their ideas, research insights, theoretical concepts to a special issue of Journal of Transcultural Communication, tentatively entitled “Authenticity and Transcultural Communication”.

March, 2023 – Acceptance notification of our post-conference
